Google Apps & Salesforce Customer Relationship Management Software Integration
Google and Salesforce are expanding a 10 month collaboration to offer Salesforce for Google Apps, a product that will be available to Salesforce’s 41,000 business customers at no additional cost starting today. The alliance combines Google’s suite of office productivity applications including email, word processing, spreadsheets, instant messaging and calendaring with Salesforce’s customer relationship management software that enables customers to automatically integrate information from the Google documents witizon Wireless h data entered into their Salesforce accounts. The Salesforce Web based software package will compete with rival Microsoft’s customer relationship management software, which is integrated with Microsoft Office suite, giving Google more foothold in the enterprise business while providing Salesforce customers with additional tools. Salesforce will roll out a version in a few months that bundles features such as telephone support, unified billing and provisioning, and enhanced platform APIs for $10 dollars per user per month.
AOL has struck a deal with Verizon to become the sole representative of Verizon’s online advertising inventory. The announcement is a victory for AOL’s Platform A advertising unit, as rivals push to take a bigger stake in the business of selling display advertisements. The deal also expands AOL’s relationship with Verizon Wireless. Platform-A’s Third Screen Media will manage the sale of the majority of Verizon's Wireless Web advertising inventory.
