AOL Joining OpenSocial Consortium

AOL is the latest company, joining Yahoo and MySpace, which plans to support OpenSocial, starting with the adoption of Google Gadgets on myAOL.com and to ultimately support OpenSocial across all AOL services. The OpenSocial platform was designed to create an open and standard set of web 2.0 services which can be mixed and matched by users. AOL hopes the move will encourage developers to leverage AOL APIs to enhance products and services on myAOL with new applications, tools and widgets for an improved user experience.
