Internet Advertising Bureau UK Debuts Search Help Centre For Advertisers

The Internet Advertising Bureau has developed what its calling a Search Help Centre to assist advertisers with search engine marketing, including sales policies and practices specific to each search engine. With input from the leading search engines, including Google, Yahoo and Microsoft, the IAB Search Council’s Search Help Centre offers regularly updated information and guidance regarding issues such as campaign intellectual property rights, trademarks and privacy. Other issues the help centre hopes to highlight include information about campaign keyword lists and click costs, so that advertisers can make more informed decisions when signing contracts.

Google Rolls Out Security Features For Gmail Users

Google has rolled out new features for its Gmail email service to help users better protect their Gmail account. Added is the ability for Gmail users to track recent sessions and to sign out remotely. Located at the bottom of a users Gmail inbox is information about the time of the last activity on the associated account and whether the account is still open in another location. Gmail users can see activity history byway of the date, time, IP address associated with any open sessions and how the email was retrieved, be it through iGoogle, POP3 or a mobile phone. With the remote sign out feature, Gmail users can then click on the “Sign out all other sessions” button to sign out of any account left open in another location. The feature is currently rolling out to Gmail members using the Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers.
