Photobucket And Ask Forge Search Advertising Partnership
Search engine Ask.com made gains in the search marketing space today with the announcement that it has forged an exclusive deal with leading photo sharing site Photobucket to provide its search services, for photo, video, and web searches through the addition of a search box on the Photobucket web site, and to also provide display advertising and paid search ads relevant to the searches. Photobucket is the worlds largest photo sharing site with more than 44 million users, thus the partnership is a boost for Ask, which is the no. 4 player in search, trailing far behind market leaders Google and Yahoo.
Yahoo and Turner Broadcasting System have forged a multi-year content and advertising alliance. Under the deal, Yahoo will gain access to content from various sports league sites managed by Turner Network that will enrich Yahoo Sports NBA, Nascar, PGA Tour and PGA pages with live on demand video, leaderboards, and editorial content. In return, Turner Network will be able to exclusively sell all display, sponsorship, and video advertising in the pages on Yahoo Sports.
LinkedIn Adding Search Feature to Groups Directory on Friday
The folks over at professional networking site LinkedIn are adding a search feature to the Group directory this Friday, making it easier for users to find groups of specific interest from the over 90,000 groups listed, versus the current method of searching through results broken up by category or waiting around for someone to make the first move with an invitation to a group.
