During last week’s PubCon 2008 conference in Las Vegas SearchEngineWorld video content producer Vanessa Zamora spent some time with Jane Copland, who is a search marketing consultant for SEO company SEOmoz, and had a chance to sit down and conduct a video interview with her.
Copland, who was a speaker at PubCon’s “Five Bloggers and a Microphone” session, shared her thoughts on her work at SEOmoz involving message forums, what a typical day is like working with company co-founder and chief executive Rand Fishkin, and how the company’s new Linkscape search engine tool operates as it examines such information as a Web site’s anchor text and redirect types.
The PubCon interview video also features Copland sharing her views on the importance of having the right kind of blog and the dangers that can accompany a poorly thought-out one. She also shares some of her experiences blogging for SEO Chicks, what it’s like working in an office above a microbrewery, and some of the top questions she regularly answers at SEOmoz.
