At the most recent PubCon conference in Las Vegas SearchEngineWorld video content producer Vanessa Zamora had the opportunity to spend some time with Brian Carter, who is the director of SEO, PPC and social media at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina-based Web design, hosting and e-mail marketing company Fuel Interactive.

Zamora caught up with Carter for an interview after he had spoken in a PubCon session about emerging social media companies. Carter explained how using creative blogging and microblogging service Twitter in conjunction with sites such as Digg and Kirtsy can help project a company’s brand and increase what he likes to call "awesomenimity."

In their PubCon interview Carter told Zamora about his work as a comedian and how he has performed virtual stand-up routines using Twitter to test new material.

Carter shared his insights into how the search engine landscape has grown since the days when all that mattered were simple search engine rankings, and spoke about his entry into the corporate keynote speaking arena where he explains SEO and PPC to CEOs in an entertaining way.

Before leaving Carter spoke about Fuel Interactive’s plans for a New Year's Eve Webcast event in partnership with “mom bloggers,” and shared some of the reasons that he enjoys the PubCon conference.
