September 16 – Search in ChatGPT
ChatGPT/SearchGPT results are now more factual with fewer hallucinations, better at detecting search intent, and reformatted for quicker scanning. For SEOs, that means product queries and commercial intent searches inside ChatGPT will increasingly surface structured, relevant results.
September 15 – GPT-5 Codex
OpenAI also introduced this week GPT-5 Codex, a variant tuned for coding tasks. While it isn’t inside ChatGPT or the API yet, it’s now the default in Codex for cloud tasks and code review. Seems to be only available via CLI and IDE extensions.
