Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas said Friday (Oct. 25) that the artificial intelligence (AI) search company is serving over 100 million queries per week.
“Perplexity now serves over 100M queries every week,” Srinivas wrote in a post on X. “Next stop: 100M+ queries every day.”
Earlier in the week Perplexity was looking to raise a new round of funding at at staggering $8 billion dollar valuation. Given that it’s run rate this year is expected to be a paltry $50 million – $8 billion sounds like a stratospheric number.
In August, several outlets reported that Perplexity was prepping an ad product.
Meanwhile, Perplexity is in the middle of a major lawsuit with Dow Jones & Company over copyright complaints.
